Overview
Responsible for supporting the California Workers' Compensation
Hearing Representative Unit handling cases from the outset of lien
litigation through trial. Responsibilities include the preparation
of pleadings, coordination of schedules, communication with Claims,
and organization of files. Maintains a solid understanding of
AmTrust's mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the
AmTrust organization.
Responsibilities
* Prepares pleadings and correspondence including, but not limited
to, court notices, declarations of readiness to proceed (DOR),
Response to Order for Medicals, discovery, trial briefs/exhibits,
etc.* Coordinates/schedules meetings, hearings, and appointments*
Provides information to claims professionals and insureds.* Compose
and type routine correspondence* Data entry* Reads and routed of
incoming mail, taking calls from attorneys, claims professionals,
lien claimants, counsel, etc. * Creates and maintains a heavy
litigation calendar.* Presents information in one-on-one and small
group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the
firm.* Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).1 years
minimum experience as assistant in California based workers'
compensation law officeEAMS filing ExperienceOrganized,
self-motivated, with ability to work independently with a great
attitudeExperience using law firm management software, LITIFY,
Ooutlook, Excel The salary range for this role is $24hr-$30/hr.
This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in
California. Base pay offered may vary depending on, but not limited
to education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel
requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics. This range may be
