Job Description:
Stayner Architects seeks a dynamic and motivated Director of
Business Development and Marketing to join our team. This role will
drive the studio's growth by identifying and pursuing new project
opportunities worldwide in collaboration with the partners and
other staff. The position will also oversee all marketing and
communications initiatives, helping to shape and communicate our
brand. The role reports directly to the Partners.We value diverse

professional fields, including those outside the A/E/C industries.
Compensation, responsibilities, and the final job title will be
based on the candidate's level of expertise and experience.Key
Responsibilities:
- Business Development Strategy: Work closely with the partners
to define business development goals and strategies, focusing on
expanding opportunities within the cultural/civic, educational,
residential, and transit sectors.
- Marketing and Communications Oversight: Manage the studio's
marketing budgets and forecasts. Develop strategies to enhance
brand recognition, outreach, and engagement.
- Relationship Management: Act as a point of contact for
potential and existing clients, helping to build and maintain
strong relationships. Support the partners in expanding the
studio's network, ensuring timely follow-up on meetings and
communications. Organize events.
- Proposal Management: Lead efforts in evaluating and managing
all RFPs, RFQs, and new business proposals. Coordinate with
internal teams to prepare compelling responses, presentations, and
strategies that align with the firm's goals.
- Brand Development & Content Creation: Analyze market trends to
help define and communicate the firm's brand identity. Develop
content for digital platforms, social media, and other marketing
channels. Collaborate with designers, writers, and other creative
professionals to produce impactful content.
- Press & Media Relations: Manage press outreach, lecture
inquiries, and event participation. Ensure the firm's presence at
key industry conferences and networking events.
- Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular reports to the Partners
on the progress of business development, marketing, and
communications activities. Use analytics to evaluate the success of
initiatives and refine strategies as needed.
- Awards: Identify, track, and assemble submittals for awards and
grants.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned
by the Partners.Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Architecture, Art History, Urban Planning, Real
Estate, or a related field. Candidates with legal or business
backgrounds who are passionate about architecture are also
encouraged to apply.
- Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in additional
languages is a plus.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in business
development or marketing, preferably in the architecture, cultural,
real estate, or development sectors.
- Experience managing proposals (RFI, RFP, PQQ) and familiarity
with client relationship management tools (CRM).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage
multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a
demonstrated ability to pitch and negotiate.
- Proficiency with MS Office and Adobe InDesign. Knowledge of
basic graphic design and web management is a plus.
- Experience with social media management and content
creation.Ideal Candidate Qualities:
