seeking a Missile Systems Requirements & Development Engineer 4 to
support our SiAW missile program with our talented Advanced Weapons
team. This position is required to be full-time, on-site in the
Northridge, CA location. No remote/telework arrangement is
available for this position. Applicants must have an active US
Government DoD Secret security clearance . The ideal candidate will
have experience in systems engineering lifecycle of missile/weapon
systems development program(s), supporting concepts/mission and
requirements development as well as verification planning and
compliance assessment. They will have technical knowledge in one or
more of the subsystems of missile/weapon systems, e.g., RF/sensors,
guidance, navigation, control, telemetry/communication, and
airframe. This candidate will work directly with the program’s
Systems Engineering Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead supporting
the various systems engineering efforts. Responsibilities: Support
system requirements development, management, analysis, and
traceability, to translate customer requirements and CONOPS into
systems requirements, and further allocate to lower-level
requirements. Perform functional analysis and systems trade studies
for technical solutions with respect to concept, design,
fabrication, test, installation, operation, and maintenance.
Generate well-defined and executable system and subsystem
requirements documents, interface documents, and test and
verification documents. Support the development of system
architecture & design, and test architecture on complex weapon
systems in digital environment to mature the technologies of the
systems. Support development of technical volume and cost volume
for proposal; use historical actuals to develop Basis of Estimates
(BOEs). Support system/subsystems integration, test, and
requirements verification activities with other functions such as
software and hardware. Support systems engineering metrics and
technical performance measurement tracking. Support the preparation
of system engineering materials during System Requirements Review,
System Functional Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical
Design Review, System Verification Review, Test Readiness Review,
and other program reviews as needed. Interface with
inter-organizational management and external Customer to
communicate technical briefing and program status. Support Program
Management activities to ensure cost and schedule objectives are
met; support program status efforts including Earned Value
Management System (EVMS) tracking and Control Account Management
(CAM) activities. Support the management of critical subcontractors
developing and testing tactical missile technologies and delivery
of quality products. Basic qualifications are: Bachelor of Science
in an Engineering discipline and a minimum of (8) years of systems
engineering experience with any exposure to requirements
development and verification activities; will consider Master of
Science in an Engineering discipline and a minimum of six (6) years
of systems engineering experience with any exposure to requirements
development and verification activities. Experience in hardware
engineering, software engineering, and/or test engineering.
Experience in systems engineering tools, such as DOORS, CAMEO.
Experience in technical writing, such as planning document, test
procedure, test/analysis report. Experience in configuration
management and product lifecycle management tool(s). Proven
experience in communicating with peers in a methodical, detailed
and process-oriented fashion. Demonstrated experience in providing
solutions to a variety of technical problems under general
supervision. Current US Government DoD Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in multiple missile
technologies (e.g., sensors, navigation aids, guidance electronics,
controls, propulsion, structures, platforms). Have technical
knowledge in one or more military mission areas (e.g., Air, Land,
Sea, Space, Cyber) Experience in assessing legacy system
architecture and innovating for future potential technology
development LI-MA1 Primary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 -
$213,400.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline;
however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when
determining base salary offers such as the scope and
responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience,
education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the
position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift
differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as
well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in
Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of
benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability
insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off
