Under direct supervision of the/nGeneral Diagnostic Manager and Medical Director the Per Diem Radiologic/nTechnologist (RT) will produce diagnostic images utilizing a variety of/nradiographic equipment. Fix radiographic, fluoroscopic and mobile equipment following/nprescribed protocols and procedures. As the RT, you will competently perform/nradiographic procedures on neonates, infants, children, adults and geriatric/npatients. Complete all studies in a timely and efficient manner and produce/nfilm images utilizing Digital Radiography, image processors and process as/nprescribed standards. You will be required to rotate to all radiology sites/nstaffed by UCLA Health. Duties include but are not limited to: /n - Assist in performing sterile technique procedures/n as required /n - Assist Radiologist as needed /n - Follow established quality assurance procedures /n - Maintain patient dignity and confidentiality /n - Patient education prior to the examination /n - Preparation of needed supplies and equipment set up /n The RT is expected to support UCLA/nhealthcare radiology locations in the Westwood and Santa Monica region./nRadiologic Technologists need to possess the skills, knowledge and abilities/nessential to the successful performance of duties assigned to the position;/ngraduate of a Radiologic Technology Training Program approved by the American/nMedical Association or equivalent training, maintaining current CRT, CRT –/nFluoro and ARRT licensure. *Position may convert to career* Salary/nRange: $59.38 Hourly Qualifications *Please ensure your resume includes a list/nof all relevant certifications and licenses* /n - ARRT certification – required /n - CRT license – required /n - Fluoroscopic permit – required /n - BCLS certificate from American/n Heart Association or American Red Cross– required /n - Accredited Radiologic/n Technologist Program graduate /n - Ability to adapt to advancement/n and changing technology /n - Ability to identify and recognize/n contraindications for exams. (Radiology Only) /n - Ability to respond efficiently to/n expressed needs of referring services, physicians and patients /n - Demonstrate knowledge of clinical/n billing (IDX codes) to ensure appropriate accounting and reimbursement of/n services rendered /n - Knowledge of medical terminology,/n with ability to distinguish between types of procedures within the/n assigned department(s) and medical diagnoses /n - Skill in employing independent/n decision making while performing various job functions /n - Telephone manners and skills to/n handle heavy telephone lines with courtesy and tact /n - Understand the requirements of/n the EMTALA (Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act) /n /n
